BRIDGES: Cyclists are not allowed to ride on the Newport Pell Bridge or the Jamestown Bridge. To cross, one must either drive or take the ferry service across the bay. Free bike shuttle is now available from June 23 for 20 weeks. Shuttles are 3 times a day on Saturdays from North Kingstown, to Jamestown, to Newport and back!
Cycling is permitted on the Mt. Hope Bridge (USE CAUTION). The protected bike lane on the Sakonnet Bridge is open and lovely to ride!
