The Annual Tour de Jonquilles
April 14th, 2019
Get daffy with us!
Get up and close and personal with many of the 1 million daffodils (!) now planted throughout Newport on this daffy bike ride supporting the Daffodillion project! Join us on a tour of the plantings, and end up at Ballard Park where more than 20,000 daffodils will greet us. Our ride is part of the 6th Annual Newport Daffodil Days Festival.
Meet at Touro Park (Bellevue Ave. between Mill and Pelham) at 9:30am. Length will be about five miles, with an option to continue riding around Ocean Drive after checking out over 20,000 daffodils blooming at Ballard Park. Bring a camera, bike lock, and wear yellow — lots of yellow! A special prize will be given to the daffiest outfit and free “Daffy Duck Calls” to all those wearing their Daffy Pin. As we spot the daffodils, we’ll all toot hello. Helmets are required on all Bike Newport rides.
